A generous volume. A line that rises naturally towards the handle.
PORTALE’s silhouette has been refined from drawing to three-dimensional model. The rounded base, the opening and the upper edges form a continuous line.
We paid particular attention to the way the shell rises towards the leather. That continuity gives the design its softness.
02 / The materialsPublished on
This combination is part of PORTALE’s character.
A matte ivory travertine look sets the tone. Taupe leather extends its softness; golden brass adds a point of light.
The finish direction favours small, irregular pores, a matte surface and a pale tone. The mineral character follows the curve without obscuring it.

Where leather meets the shell is part of the design.
The leather extends over the upper edges of the shell, punctuated by brass. We studied this connection with the same care as the silhouette: its width, its angle and its place within the volume.
In the drawings, the detail is seen close up. On the piece, it should belong to the whole.
